Invivyd, Inc., a New Haven-based biopharmaceutical company, appointed Marc Elia, current Chairman of its Board of Directors, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and he will serve as Chairman and CEO going forward.
Ajay Royan, Lead Independent Director of Invivyd, said, "Invivyd is transforming the way people are protected from serious viral infectious disease and requires a leader who has an expansive vision for how to improve public health and the ability to persuade others to bring the vision to life. That leader is Marc Elia. Marc has been a significant contributor to Invivyd since joining the Board and becoming Chairman. Elia has served as Chairman of Invivyd's Board since June 2022, architecting the company's scientific and corporate strategy. Royan, Founder of Mithril Capital and a founding, long-term investor in Invivyd, was appointed Lead Independent Director.

Ian Sheffield, founder and Managing Partner of North Country Holdings, a private investment firm, joined Invivyd's Board as a new independent director. Sheffield has more than 20 years of experience as a healthcare investor and medical technology executive, previously holding senior roles at Ashler Capital, Bridger Capital, Great Point Partners, and Versant Ventures.
Invivyd is focused on delivering protection from serious viral infectious diseases, beginning with SARS-CoV-2, deploying a proprietary integrated technology platform to assess, monitor, develop, and adapt best-in-class antibodies.
