PerkinElmer, headquartered in Shelton, completed its acquisition of SimoTech, a manufacturing automation and GMP IT solutions provider to the life sciences industry, following the transaction's announcement on August 11, 2026.

 

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Cork, Ireland, SimoTech supports half of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, collaborating with life sciences organizations to develop, implement, and manage automation and digital manufacturing solutions that accelerate project execution and enhance operational performance while ensuring regulatory compliance. The acquisition expands PerkinElmer's life sciences solutions, which include OneSource integrated laboratory and digital solutions and Project Farma's manufacturing and engineering platform.
