The Vascular Care Group added vascular surgeon Ryan Gedney, MD, to its Darien and Stamford offices.

Gedney has advanced training in open and endovascular surgery. He earned his medical degree and completed his integrated vascular surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.

He is the co-inventor of multiple patented and patent-pending technologies, including a novel endovascular aortic arch stent graft, and a co-founder of the medical device startup Anchor Medical. Gedney said: “Joining The Vascular Care Group gives me the opportunity to bring the latest in endovascular and open vascular surgery to patients in Darien, Stamford, and the surrounding communities. I’m passionate about finding better ways to treat vascular disease, and I look forward to partnering with patients and referring physicians across Fairfield County.”

His addition increases appointment availability for patients in Connecticut and expands access to vascular care in Fairfield County. The Vascular Care Group specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of vascular conditions.
